The National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE) has threatened to down tools if urgent action is not taken regarding the alleged abduction of all staff of the National Independent Power Supply (NISO) in Imo State.

In a statement issued on Sunday by Dominic Igwebike, the Acting General Secretary of the NUEE, the union said this decision followed reports of an attack on staff on duty at the Egbu 132/33kV substation, where some were held at gunpoint and others were abducted.

On November 15, NISO stated that some of its staff remained missing after the attack.
