Afghanistan’s Taliban Blames Pakistan for Failed Peace Talks

The Taliban government in Afghanistan has accused Pakistan of acting “irresponsibly” after peace talks between the two countries failed to reach an agreement.

A Taliban spokesperson said that Pakistan did not approach the discussions with sincerity and patience, leading to the collapse of efforts aimed at ending cross-border violence in the region.

Since taking power in 2021, the Taliban says it has made efforts to strengthen ties with neighboring countries, but Pakistan continues to accuse Kabul of harboring militants who launch attacks on its territory.

Pakistan, on the other hand, maintains that the Taliban has failed to stop terrorist groups from using Afghan soil as a base, a situation that poses a serious threat to Pakistan’s security.

Analysts warn that the growing tension between the two nations could worsen instability in the region and undermine hopes for long-term peace in Central Asia.
