Israeli Army Warns Civilians Against Returning as Conflict Continues.
The Israeli military has declared that Gaza City and its northern areas remain a “dangerous combat zone”, even after U.S. President Donald Trump demanded that Israel immediately halt its bombing of the enclave.
In a public statement, the Israeli army said that Palestinians in the north of Gaza, especially those in and around Gaza City, should move south via Rashid Street, warning that attempts to return pose “a significant risk.”
The statement came after Hamas announced it had accepted parts of Trump’s peace plan — including the release of prisoners. However, Israel clarified that despite the call to “stop bombing,” it maintains its forces are surrounding Gaza City and engaging only in defensive operations.
Earlier, Trump had urged Israel to cease airstrikes immediately to allow a safer environment for negotiations and hostage releases.
Meanwhile, hospitals in Gaza reported that although bombing has significantly reduced in intensity, several civilians have still been killed.
