Israel Continues to Block Humanitarian Aid.
Despite the recently announced ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, residents of the Gaza Strip say they have seen no real change in their daily lives, as Israel continues to block the entry of humanitarian aid and essential supplies.
Many Gazans told local and international media that economic hardship, food shortages, lack of medicine, and fuel scarcity have worsened, leaving them struggling to survive. “They told us peace has returned, but we are still hungry and living in fear of another attack,” said a resident of Khan Younis.
The UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) expressed deep concern over Israel’s continued restrictions, saying that the blockade is preventing life-saving assistance from reaching thousands in dire need. Despite the ceasefire, political tensions and mutual distrust between both sides continue to hinder genuine peace efforts in the region.
