China Expresses Gratitude Over Rescue of Its Nationals Kidnapped in Nigeria

 The Chinese government has expressed appreciation and satisfaction over the swift response of Nigerian authorities in rescuing its nationals and several Nigerians who were kidnapped in parts of the country.

In a statement issued by China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government commended Nigeria’s security agencies-particularly the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun-for their leadership and effective coordination during the rescue operation.

According to the statement: “China appreciates the Nigerian government for its commitment and prompt action in protecting the lives of Chinese citizens. This has further strengthened the friendship and cooperation between our two countries.”

The Chinese government added that it looks forward to enhancing collaboration with Nigeria in the areas of security and investment, to ensure the safety and prosperity of citizens from both nations, especially in the southern and southwestern regions where trade and industrial activities are rapidly growing.
