All Progressives Congress (APC) has disqualified one of its governorship aspirants in Ekiti State, Engineer Kayode Ojo, from participating in the party’s primary election and the upcoming governorship race.
The decision was announced shortly after Ojo visited the party’s headquarters in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday, where party officials reportedly prevented him from entering and taking part in the process.
Earlier reports indicated that Ojo had arrived with thousands of supporters from all 16 local government areas of the state as preparations were underway for the party’s primary election scheduled for October 27.
According to a report by TVC News, it has been confirmed that the APC leadership rejected Kayode Ojo’s candidacy, barring him from contesting in the governorship election in Ekiti State.
